Singapore's Ghost Ships

Apparently at the moment Singapore and southern Malaysia have the “biggest and most secretive” gathering of ships in maritime history anchored off our coast… bigger than the US and British navies combined. No crews, no cargo. They’re just anchored there waiting for a swing in the economy.

The Daily Mail reports that they’re tucked away off an area of coastline that’s hard to get to and seldom visited because it’s not an encouraging view when everyone’s busy talking the recession into history.

The rest of the article has some pretty dire facts about the shipping and ship building industries. Certainly something we’re not reading about in the newspapers here.
