Lawrence Summers: Big fat, arrogant blowhard?

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2009/09/11/AR2009091103543.html?hpid=topnews

“We are making a clear transition from rescue as the priority of public policy to sustained recovery,” he told reporters in a briefing Friday afternoon. “We have moved back from the brink of financial catastrophe.”

Me:  Why aren’t we discussing the possibility that we fell off a cliff and fell flat on our faces and therefore stopped  falling?  These brilliant  economists ain’t so  bright.

As my dad used to say you can always tell a Harvard man, you just can’t tell him much.
