Let it Snow--Keep the Feds at Home
Economic experts have concluded that the DC SnowNami blizzard has resulted in $300mm in “lost productivity”. My view is a little different. I think we’ve saved BILLIONS, because during the past three days, federal government workers haven’t been able to impose any more bonehead rules on the rest of us regular folk.
If it only costs $100mm per day to keep these people at home, I propose that we insist on paying them a year’s worth of salary to STAY AT HOME where they can cause only a limited amount of trouble.
The enormous savings in treasure and trouble will pay off the deficit in record time.
